Data becomes useful when it helps us understand a problem, make a decision or evaluate what has changed. We begin with the learning or organisational question, then identify the evidence needed to answer it.

Bring together assessment results, student work, classroom observations and student or staff perspectives; identify patterns; review intervention programs; and align resources with clearly identified needs.
Connect evidence to action
We look at what the evidence suggests, what it cannot tell us and what needs investigating further. The next step is a specific adjustment to teaching, provision or implementation, with a way to check its effect.
